W2E® INNOVATION FOR MILITARY READINESS

For more than two decades, BESI has supported the U.S. military as a pioneer in the W2E® (Waste-to-Energy) discipline. From establishing “W2E®” as the descriptor for our foundational technology in the early 2000s, to validating it through extensive applied research and field use in the years following, we’ve consistently set the standard for turning complex waste streams into strategic power.
Our mission remains clear: transform waste challenges into energy and materials advantage, while developing a future workforce through hands-on educational training with the Department of Defense and universities, to operate, support, and manage advanced utilities for the warfighter. That mission now powers BESI’s next-gen W2E® initiatives that strengthen and advance military preparedness, resilience, and supply chain security.
CURRENT BESI INITIATIVES INCLUDE:

BESI is advancing these and other technologies along with the workforce of tomorrow to operate them through academic and training affiliations with an expanding network of U.S. and overseas colleges and universities. By innovating toward more robust, energy-diverse solutions, we’re supporting military readiness by shaping the future of W2E® and its downstream impacts: strategic materials recovery, logistics electrification, hydrogen readiness, and much, much more.
That’s why BESI isn’t just leading the industry. We’re redefining it for a world where sustainability and energy resilience work hand in hand.
